Kindergartener Watches Obama, Brain Doesn't Melt

El Presidente proved his mettle as Dad-in-Chief today, offering up 10 minutes of wisdom that any kid should have been proud to receive, whether from his or her own father or from the President of the United States.

One point that I thought was important for Mr. Obama to touch on was that of aspirations. When my son asks me what he could be when he grows up, I respond as many parents do by saying, "Anything you want to be."

In reality, though, that's a bit unrealistic. The correct answer should be, "If you decide you want to do something, work hard towards that goal and chances are you'll be successful at it."

The importance of hard work, dedication, self-discipline and self-awareness can't be overstated, and the president is to be commended for pointing that out. Here's to a great speech to our kids, no matter what age they are. Check out the full video below.
