Phineas-arific & Ferb-tastic

Lord knows The Mouse doesn't need my help with promotion, but every once and a while the great corporate overlord that is Disney will do something pretty darn cool. The creation of "Phineas and Ferb" is one of them.

Not only do these little guys spend their entire summer doing something extraordinarily cool every day, but they manage to also infuriate their sister, become inadvertent folk heroes, and travel through time and space in the process, but they also remind kids that the coolest of their peers aren't the ones sitting on their cans in front of the Wii, they're the ones getting out and doing stuff.

What's even better (especially for us grown-ups) is that every episode is jam-packed full of so many in-jokes and weird cultural references (a la Warner Bros. original Looney Tunes) that it's hard not to love it. And that's not even taking into account the great musical numbers, in which near-silent Ferb usually takes the lead as the vocalist/rapper and/or master instrumentalist. And even the pesky sister, Candice, can sing.

Don't believe the rock start potential of the boys? Check out a collection of their music clips here. You'll thank me for it.
